Stoke City Stars visit factory 2010

16 November 2010 STOKE City stars met the factory workers responsible for helping to kit out their new multi-million pound training facility. The tables were turned for the afternoon as shot-stopper Carlo Nash, midfielder Salif Diao and 19-year-old midfielder Matthew Lund watched the fans perform their jobs at Twyford Bathrooms in Alsager. The players visited the Lawton Road site to say thank you for the support from the business and its staff. Twyford most recently supplied sanitaryware for the Potters' new £5 million state-of-the-art training centre at Clayton Wood.

The players met with factory workers, took in a tour of the site and also signed memorabilia. Goalkeeper Nash said taking part in the factory tour made him realise how skilled the workforce is.
